Friday of Celebrations (because it IS Friday, right?)

As every week, here it is Father Dragon joining VikLit's meme to say cheers for the things that bring joy to life.

1. Another battle won. The virus is definitively on its way out. It's been two days now that I have been able to leave the Quartz chamber and do most of my usual daily activities, except going back to my exercise. I'll need some dragon vitamins (or eat a few villagers) to recover my strength but I'm definitively doing much better.

2. The fact I have been able to sleep two whole nights in a row is simply marvelous. Now THAT's another small great pleasure, uninterrupted sleep.

3. I am at 7 letters away to finish the A-Z posts. Considering I was out of the ring for 7 days or so, writing two or three posts in a day surprised even me. I do hope the weakened brain cells are not too noticeable in these new posts, though. Tassin thinks probably the X-Dwarf Files for X will betray my mental state at the time, but my Ninja Muse is more optimistic.

4. Now I need you to join me in a deafening ovation. Internet is finally working and stable again (insert ovation here.) Technician had  to change some cables that were damaged. He thought it was the shredder Chihuahua dog's fault but I told him it was just Milin. Some dwarves have odd manias here.

5. Spring has arrived and it is evident in Mother Dragon's garden. When one is standing there, it's difficult to believe we're in such a big city like Mexico. So many birds, so  many flowers, there's even fruit. I really can breathe peace in that place. I just hope spring doesn't get INTO the Dragon Cave just yet. Dwarves get crazier than they are already. I don't want them to go out looking for female dwarves instead of doing their minion job. I'll have to send butchering parrot to watch over them and make sure they don't break lines and escape on spring-break to Cancún.

6. I'm thankful VikLit sent me a reminder email that today is Friday. Yesterday I was under the impression it was Wednesday twice (as I was wondering why Alex didn't post a "Wednesday" post, hahahaha) and Tuesday once. Okay, I'm a bit disoriented still but I swear I am definitively improving.

So, what are you celebrating this Friday?  Are you ready for the challenge? Are you ready for Spring? Have a wonderful weekend!

You thought I'd missed a post, didn't you? I'm glad she sends reminders because I almost forgot as well.

  2. I have to say that I am envious of Mother Dragon's garden. Where I live we are still buried under snow. And thanks for reminding me that I have some work to do for the A to Z challenge. Happy Friday!

  6. Glad to hear you're getting better, Al. Now you can fly about and continue plundering to add to your pile of gold.

Dragons do still like sitting on piles of gold, right? Or is that just something I learned from playing Dungeons and Dragons? :)

    Have a great one!

  9. Fridays lose their meaning when work doesn't schedule you for the regular weekday shift. Though they're still great if you're a dragon! I hear you get a distinct on matches. In case you need the help.

    1. I think spring got delayed here just as winter got delayed in the north.

  11. Your disorientation, I'm afraid to suggest, might be the onset of old age, no? Something not to sweep under the the boulders of your cave or out into the grotto.

But, hey, so happy for you about the internet! Great thing to celebrate. And remember my offer for you to fill in some of those A-Z challenge days!

BTW, I'm having a giveaway to celebrate 100 followers on my blog.

  13. Good that you're kicking that virus out the door! I almost got a cold this week, but I tried those Emergen-C packets and wow! The cold never went full-blow. Good thing, too. Can't afford to be sick right now. :)

I'm celebrating that today is the first day this week I managed to get my toddler to nap. It's a short nap, but I'm still celebrating! Have a lovely weekend.

  18. Ovation! Definitaly an ovation for connectivity! (But especially glad for the ability to sleep. Somehow, for me, that defines illness for me. No sleep.)

Hm... Must get going on my A to Z posts. And I have a great idea, too!

I understand about the time dimension/confusion thing - this last week went by so fast I didn't realize that yesterday was Friday and my Celebrate post went up half finished . . .I had started it earlier in the week and then forgotten which day it was . . oops. And today is Saturday. (I think)

  26. Gardens, my favorite! I love sitting on the sun porch and watching the flowers grow. I daydream a lot and write too, but just enjoying the birds, the butterfly's and hummingbirds is such a blessing. I'm imagining your beautiful garden...

Thanks for stopping by. I did finish my RFW challenge, and now I'm working on finishing book 1 preparation, but taking a break to surf and comment, then back to the salt mines soon. Have a great weekend, I'm so glad you are feeling better!
