I've been Tagged / The Sweetest Blogger Award / Diamonds and Dust Cover Reveal

Rachna Chhabria at Rachna's Scriptorium awarded me with the Sweetest Blogger Award. Her touching words charmed me out of my blog meditation.

Since I'm a bit anxious for reasons you'll know on Wednesday, I thought this might be a sweet break so I'll play along.

The rules of the Super Sweet Blogging Award are: Answer the following questions and Nominate Five Bloggers.
Questions:
1. Cookies or Cake? Both, as long as they don't have any chocolate on them.
2. Chocolate or Vanilla? Anything but chocolate. I  belong to the Anti-chocolate Special Forces.
3. Favorite Sweet Treat? Ice-cream. Yes, I know, a fire dragon and ice-cream? I'm not right in the head, but you knew that since question number 1.
4. When do you crave sweet things the most? When my blood pressure is going down. It's a pretty good indicator since I usually crave for salty things.
5. Sweet nickname? That's classified. If I tell you I would have to kill you. Do not try to bribe the dwarves. They signed a confidentiality agreement. You may come up with one, though.

My nominees would be lot more than five but since I am honoring all of them on November 24th, I'll nominate here those who have sweetened my life recently:

1. Tammy Theriault. I asked people for help to organize my studies and a technique to learn Anatomy. She didn't just offer ideas, she also went through the muscle group of the arm and wrote a sentence I could relate to each muscle, so I could learn the names easier and faster. I mean, how sweeter can one get?

2. Robin @ Your Daily Dose and 3. Melissa Maygrove. I am 98% sure these two girls have an informant among my dwarves. I've been struggling with a matter for a while, but each time I take a resolution, either girl, or both drop by the cave and leave me a message that makes my resolution go to the gutter. Soon you'll understand what I'm talking about. For now, I have to acknowledge these ladies' sweet intent in making the dragon come out and play.

4. Jo Wake @ Jo on Food, my Travels and a Scent of Chocolate.  I could adopt Jo as my grandmother if she would take a fire dragon as family. She's thoughtful, sweet and she makes me feel she's always keeping an eye on what happens to Father Dragon.

5. Elephant's Child. She's a parrot lover, just like me. A flower lover, just like grandmother dragon. And I have no doubt she's a dragon lover too because her loyalty to this blog doesn't cease to amaze me.

You are all sweethearts, ladies. Dragon hugs for you.

Melissa Maygrove  tagged  me on this meme. I'm not precisely writing right now but I can't say no to this lady. She's very persuasive. I still suspect she bribes my dwarves with cotton candy.

Questions:

What are you working on right now? Learn something new and not die in the attempt. A paranormal thriller.

How does it differ from other works in its genre? It is written by a fire dragon. Seriously, it is written by a dragon.

How does your writing process work? I'm not writing it, I'm painting it. Well, first I try to connect with the Higher Source of Inspiration, then I listen to inspiring music, I take the pencil and I hit the pages. After banging my head enough times on the desk, I start seeing the scenes in my mind. Or that might be the brain cells regrouping. I go to the treadmill and plenty of ideas start flowing; scenes, dialogues, plots. Oh yes! It will be a great successful story... once I get out of my head a book written by somebody else. :)

And now, special fireworks for DIAMONDS AND DUST COVER REVEAL!

Magic is real. So is betrayal.

Two heirs. A Kingdom of dust on a troubled world. One might resurrect it. One might destroy it all.
Archaeologist David Alexander investigates the cave where his father disappeared and hurtles into another world, one filled with magic and bizarre creatures. The mad ravings in his father's journals of icemen and dragons may not be fantasies after all.

Convinced his father may still be alive, David begins a treacherous journey to find him and discover a way home. Along the way, he encounters a few unlikely friends. A Dreean warrior, a beautiful thief and a satyr join him as he searches.

David's arrival into this new world sets off an explosive chain reaction of events. Faced with powerful adversaries and few clues, he may not get the chance to rescue his father before disaster strikes, condemning both of them to death. Or worse.

  1. Oh. Oh. Oh.
I came to cheer the lovely River - and am doing so. Loudly.
And then you left me gob and smacked, flabber and ghasted. Of course I am a dragon lover - who could not love wisdom, power and beauty. You are a dragon with a heart which is warmer than your flames, and bigger than the universe. AND you will leave all the chocolate for me.
Thank you - I am honoured and privileged to be included in your list

  5. You certainly ARE one of the sweetest bloggers I know, FD—congrats.

Guess what? I saw this cover ages ago. Yep. Part of the Inner Sanctum. I twisted her arm and held Jezebel captive until she showed it to me.

    2. Fantastic post, Al. My mom was born on All Saint's (Soul's) Day. What a beautiful tradition (and photos). I had already heard of the celebration, but didn't know the specifics. How nice. And I got a big chuckle out of your grandmother "lending" you some dead.

      Take care, my friend.

  17. OMG; people think I'm weird as I'm not a chocolate fan either! But yes, Ice Cream break, like, now please. LOL. You should visit my day job on a Friday - or any other day - when we're all wondering who will go out and get us ice cream. We're all willing to buy, nobody willing to fly :) A gov't job clips your wings.

And, don't reciprocate a visit today (the post is totally trashy), unless your today is my Wed Nov 6. I mention you at the very end of my IWSG post. It is OK if you roar against the posted video :) I will be keeping an eye on your posts through my break.
