The Challenge - Part 2

Since Ninja Cloner was reluctant to undress, S.A.M. rushed to look for the bubble salts and sponge. Maybe she could still sweet-talk him into getting that bath. Free from her noisy presence, Alex's heightened senses perceived a hidden threat. (Another threat beside Ninja Muse's intention to trick him out of his clothes.)
The vision in Lord Baldernot's head. (41 seconds)
Duel of Cloned Fates (16 seconds)

In case you missed it: The Challenge - Part 1
**Special thanks to Alex and Mark.
***Thank you for buying tickets for this play. Wait, it's free! Thanks for coming then.
****Dwarves belong to Father Dragon Al Diaz, as well as the artwork. The fragment of Mulan belongs to Disney. Alex and Mark belong to their families.
Goodness this is clever. Megathanks.
ReplyDeleteIf it made you smile, we're happy.
DeleteThat was great. So funny when Oh Bald One starting dancing up on his chair, lol!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for part 3. :D
He learned that in the Dancing Chair Academy for Bald Lords. Wait to see his act with the pole.
DeleteSomeone hopefully took lessons from John Travolta...
ReplyDeleteJohn Travolta AND Michael Jackson ;)
DeleteLove it! Await part 3 :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! In 15 days.
DeleteYou guys do comedic action banter so well. Can't wait for next week and it takes a lot for an old dancer to steal the spotlight from a ninja and bald man.
ReplyDeleteNo one can steal the spotlight from the Bald Man. Maybe from the Ninja because he doesn't love spotlights so much, but who knows. That might change too.
DeleteOh Al,
ReplyDeleteI swear I owe you a real ManHug... This is bloody brilliant stuff and I *literally* laughed out loud when I saw/read the one panel with Baldernot standing on his chair...
*THAT* was FUNNY :)
And, *YOU*, sir, are The Dog's Bollix :)
Thanks again and I bow down as your humble, mitten-wearing Lord of humorous Bald-guy jokes ;)
We thought the chair-throne was a plus to your personality. Makes you outstand. You're perfect to give the dwarves-Baldinators glory, fame and the title of best dancers ever. Counting on you to do so!
DeleteSize does matter! And looks like a chair malfunction rather than expert dancing skills though.
ReplyDeleteI still don't shrill though.
That was awesome, Al! You the dragon.
Least I didn't have to get naked...
No Ninja strip-tease but that won't turn S.A.M down. Remember where her nickname comes from (Stubborn As a Mule). In any case you'll find you cannot find a more fierce defense, supporter and louder cheerleader in a Doberman, as you can find in the Ninja Muse. Just be ready to dodge when she hears you say that size does matter. :)
DeleteBaldernot standing on his chair is the absolute best. You're so talented, Al!! Can't wait for part 3.
ReplyDeleteKeep saying that and he might want to do all dances on the chair, or worse, around the pole, hahaha. THat would be something.
DeleteAmazing! and please no naked! LOL
ReplyDeleteThat's a promise! :D Thanks!
DeleteClever dragon.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Grandmother Dragon!
DeleteThe flailing arms and burning ninja are so cute! Love this series.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are enjoying them. Can't stop chuckling each time I look at those. :)
DeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteYes. Very clever dragon. :)
Dragon says thank you very much and Dragon Hugs
DeleteSuch a blast. Whether their dance moves awe me or not, your talent does. Party hearty!
ReplyDeleteHappy you liked it. Don't think for one second you're out of the hook. Sir Jeff's time will come. Someone has to dance when the duelists are resting. ;)
Delete*LOL* This is fantastic! Oh the tension.
ReplyDeleteRaising by the panel, hahaha. They will either kick each other out of the dancing floor or they will end up dancing together.
DeleteCan't wait for the dance-off. Ninja's have the moves, but bald men are more virile. Who will win?
ReplyDeletemood
Moody Writing
There will be judges but the audience vote will also count. Future is in motion. Hard to tell.
DeleteOMG, who to cheer for. I want both sides to win.
ReplyDeleteIt will be a hard decision, no matter what. Maybe it will be decided by judge bribery, hahaha.
DeleteCant wait for part 3. Lord Baldernot is super. And Ninja Captain Alex is hot ;)
ReplyDeleteMostly by the end, he is very hot, hahahaha. Get ready to cheer for your favorite!
DeleteLove it! Just excellent. Alex looks rather dramatic in his ninja black, while Mark really needs to get a new designer if he's going to be a Lord. I'm rooting for my fave to survive. Good Luck to both as they duel, however. . .
ReplyDeleteWhat? Don't you think the Hawaiian style fits him? And with Saint Patrick's Day coming, the green is perfect! But yeah, our fashion adviser says he's probably an autumn.
DeleteIs this a Morality Play? Will good triumph over evil? I can't decide if we have a bad guy here or not. Where are the Cliff Notes? :-)
ReplyDeleteI think it is more of a hair thing. You know how stories work. Stakes must be raised. If Ninja Cloner loses, Lord Baldernot will get his hair. After all he doesn't need it beneath that ninja balaclava sort of thing. If Lord Baldernot loses...hmm, what would Ninja ask?
DeleteNinjas really don't need much, do they? Maybe a shiny new katana? As to the hair, I rather like the clean look that Lord Baldernot sports. Hmm. This brings a whole new dimension to who I would vote for. Im off to think this over.
DeleteDog's Bollix, but you are so talented! Such funny stuff.
ReplyDelete(Though did you notice Sir Baldernot has more hair on his legs than on his head? Is there a transplant in the future?!)
Oh no, the hairy legs are from Lord Baldernot's loyal Hair Knitter Dwarves. But he does want to end up with hair. Shall make his dream come true.
DeleteThis is epic to the max. Can't wait for the next part. And I laughed out loud at "Alex and Mark beling to their families." Not sure why, just made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't matter why you're laughing for, as long as you laugh. That's the point of all this!
DeleteI betcha Lord Baldernot has a manic laugh!
ReplyDeleteWhat are wicked Lords without maniac laughs?
DeleteOh, my side hurts!!! Al, you've outdone yourself my friend! This was entertaining on about a dozen different levels!!
ReplyDeleteWriterlySam A to Z Theme Reveal
Laughter is all the reward expected and needed. So glad you're enjoying it so much!!
DeleteSo funny! Thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it!
DeleteJust great! And sound effects too. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad I climbed on board the Dragon. It's sure a fun ride!
Be welcome and feel at home, Kirsten. There's more fun to come!
DeleteThis is awesome! I love it - can't wait to see what happens next!
ReplyDeleteWe don't know either, hahahaha. Glad you're enjoying it.
DeleteI noticed the interesting new cave look right away Sir. Nice.
ReplyDeleteTruly enjoyed the graphics, and video clips. Why does Baldernot look like Aang (The Last Airbender)? Hmm, I'm wondering if there is some hidden Dwarvish mischief at work here.
I remember the Ninja's cosmic hangover. I'm a little disappointed there is not nudity here - well, except for the naked pate :)
......dhole
Hahahaha, what an amazingly good eye you have, Donna. Indeed he looks like Aang. I think it's the bald head and small size. We're fans of Aang also, so I guess that came through during the cloning process.
DeleteSorry, the ninja didn't want to get that bath, but you know SAM honors her nickname (Stubborn As a Mule). We'll see what happens later! :D
"There Can Be Only One..."
ReplyDeleteMaybe the glare off of Balernot's head will distract the Ninja!
That's his secret weapon! I'm sure he'll use it at the right time.
DeleteWow, Al, I'm impressed! Very nicely done. Made me grin as I read the scripts.
ReplyDeleteSia McKye Over Coffee
That's good. We're going for the chuckles next time! :D
DeleteAw, man, I can't see the videos at work. lol I'll try to remember to come back when I get home. Love it, though!
ReplyDeleteCan't help to chuckle each time I see Baldernot's thoughts. Glad you like it even without the video. :)
DeleteI want more! I see a book in your future..
ReplyDeleteYes, gotta love a dance off!!
That's a good idea! First the play, then the book and then a movie. Next, Baldernot will be seeking to conquer the world with dance steps. :)
DeleteSo clever Al!
ReplyDeleteI laughed all the way through.
Since The Princess Bride is one of Alex's favorite movies the "prepare to die" line had me doubled over.
Great job!!!
Excellent, Robin! Mission accomplished with you.
DeleteThat line is there because Alex himself put it there, just as the dog's bollix were Mark's own words.
Thank you very much!!
Too funny!
ReplyDeleteDid I spy a John Travolta double? Complete with glove?
Can't wait for the dance burn out!!
(I saw a comment about videos... nothing showing up in my browser... will have to check again...)
Tassin was actually trying Michael Jackson double, hahaha.
DeleteGlad you liked it, Michelle.
If you're opening the page from an iPad, videos wont show because it doesn't support Real Player. You need to try from a computer.
Oh. My. Goodness. Al, you have outdone yourself. Seriously outDONE. This was excellent. Sorry I'm getting here a few days after you posted, but has been a busy period for us here at the homestead.
ReplyDeleteThis is your forte. A mix of graphics and writing! LOVE it! Al Diaz, Writer of Graphic Novels.
M.L. Swift, Writer
:D No problema, Mike. I know life happens. All that really matters is that you enjoyed it. Thank you for coming and double thank you for your comment. It does make me smile. :)
DeleteThat was totally pawesome. Absolutely hilarious and thank you. A visual and written delight.
ReplyDeletePawsitive wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!
Absolutely thrilled that you enjoyed it, dearest Penny. Honored to have you visiting the cave.
DeleteGentle dragon hugs for you and your human!
That was awesome, Al. Thanks for such special entertainment. :) Hope all is well in your cave.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for coming, Mary! I'm happy you liked it. We're holding tight. :)
DeleteAl, I miss you... can you make me a comic strip about that??? by the way, the little boogers are still at my window!!!
ReplyDeleteThey'll never go, Tammy. Better get used to it. But don't worry, they won't enter. I cast a repellum dwarf spell on you, just for safety. I don't have Tammy Insurance, you know. ;) I sketch something about that!
DeleteROFL These cartoons are hilarious! Especially the MJ reference. Make this a regular comic book of your daring exploits!
ReplyDeleteGreat you laughed! It's a good idea, Maurice! I'll try to keep it going.
DeleteBut...but...but...I can't decide who to root for. Bald is beautiful but ninjas are so mysterious...
ReplyDeleteAnd they will want/need/buy your vote, hahaha. Alex might offer free clones in exchange of one vote, who knows?
DeleteI love it, love it, love it! The artwork is fabulous and I love the send-up of Princess Bride and Saturday Night Fever. I can't wait to see what Capt Ninja unleashes in the next installment! :)
ReplyDeleteAh so you already have your favorite, I see. :)
DeleteGlad you enjoyed it so much, Lexa! Thanks for coming.
haha - Thanks for the laugh this was too funny..Ninja Alex cannot be tricked out of his clothes..what will he do next? I'll be back to read again..nice work..
ReplyDeleteThank you very much, Truedessa. Glad it brought a laugh.
DeleteNinjas are very cunning.
Very cute comic.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
DeleteThose little flailing arms...oh...I had to wait until I stopped laughing to even be able to keep scrolling, only to freeze again on the chair dance. My eyes...
ReplyDeleteI can't wait until the next episode.
Excellent! Thank you for coming, so glad you laughed. Best reward. :D
DeleteThis just gets better and better. LOVING THIS! Keep it, guys! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming Sir David! We're very glad you're enjoying!
DeleteHOL---EEE Crap. I am DYING!!!!! What took me so long to get here?!?!?! Dying. I'm still laughing at the opening hair shedding giving him away line... seriously, Al. I LOVE this. The Hawaiian shirt underneath the "wife's linen" is sooooo funny to me...
ReplyDeleteHahaha, you're making ME laugh. I think I can almost hear you. Thank you very much for coming and so very glad you enjoyed it.
DeleteThis is too hilarious! LOL.
ReplyDeleteAlex looks scary here and I didn't expect the dwarf bit.
Hi Al .. can't keep up with Baldernot and his clones .. but you've certainly brought them to light ... and luminescent glory .. they can glow around the Dragon lair ...
ReplyDeleteGreat imagination ... cheers Hilary
HAHAHA! Very entertaining. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteSomehow I missed this segment. Love your artwork, Al, and your wit. Those two will have to be spectacular to upstage you!
