Beer flowed and music made the stone at the Dragon Cave vibrate. The dwarves, my muses and I were dancing at Katy Perry’s “Fireworks” when we received notice that M.J. Joachim from Effectively Human and M.J. Joachim's Writing Tips awarded me with the Premio Cutie Pie. The news elated my minions, the muses hugged me tightly (yes, both of them) and I got an attack of nervous laughter. It is my usual response when shock mixes with disbelief and joy.
On November 24 I chose to open the Dragon Cave to the blogsphere. I hoped I would be lucky enough to find a few people who still believed dragons existed in this modern age. I hoped for a few who would like to read what this strayed fire dragon had to say. Not even in my wildest dreams I expected anyone would take me into consideration for any type of acknowledgement. At the most, we prayed nobody would send hunting parties to either blast the cave or put me down.
I am humbled by all the three nominations we received, the two awards we are honored with and above all, I am thankful beyond words to all of you, dragon friendly people, who give me a moment of your life to read me and talk to me, and still think the moment is well spent. Thank you very much from the core of my dragon heart.
Now, this is the best moment, when I get the chance to acknowledge five bloggers’ great work. My choices are:
Tamara at One Magic Bean Buyer
PK Rezo – (you've gotta meet her fairy friend Harriet Plotter!)
Julie Luek at A thought that grows
Cleemckenzie at The WriteGame
Cherie Reich
Congratulations, girls! All you have to do is get your award and name five bloggers you think are doing a nice job with their blogs, just like you. :D
As for me, all I have left to say is: Join the dragon party!! Here’s to all of you, because YOU are firework! (PS. Just please don't call me "cutie" in front of my minions.)
Oh, and for the Liebster Award nominees and questions please click here.
Congratulations and all five ladies rock!
ReplyDeleteThe dragon army is growing.
Yes, they do and they are WAY cuter than me. :)
DeleteSo the dragon has heart and can get shocked into a most embarrassing state: nervous laughter! Don't know how wise it is to reveal those weaknesses, but I congratulate you nonetheless for your honoring. I'm glad that you've found a kind and appreciating following of humans, and hope that you will never experience the turning of the face (in other words, two-facedness) from any of them. Me? Well, I already told you that any hunting of you by me would be only for educational purposes. My truly colors will always show!
ReplyDeleteHahaha, dear Nancy, laughter in all of its types is always fun to me. Laughter triggers a chain reaction of general welfare, brings more oxygen to the brain and helps us think clearer. If anything laughter makes you healthier. :)
DeleteCongratulations on your well deserved award.
