Celebrate the Small Things with Humor

I feel like days are passing a bit too fast. It was Friday only...what? How can it be here so soon? Anyway, as every week it is time to celebrate the small things. This Meme is VikLit's wonderful idea and we are always glad to welcome more people in the group.

This week...geez! Seven days, really? Where have I been? No matter. I do have cool celebrations.

1. It seems liver is finally returning to dragon's size instead of Argentinosaurus' size. Stupid Argentinosaurus. I'll never invite him to my parties again. Always leaving his things behind and taking mine instead.

2. I received the Very Inspiring Blogger Award from David Powers King and the second place as Beginner/Small Blogger with Most Potential at Misha Gericke's Paying Forward Awards. I am all Hu-Ho-Ha about this (Humbled, Honored and Happy).

3. I finally made up my mind about my theme for the A to Z Challenge: Chronicles of the Dragon Cave from A to Z. I already wrote 3 -three!!- posts. That makes only twenty three to go. (Yipee!) The ironic part is that I'm stuck in D. Don't know if I should write about Dwarves, Dragons or Dwarfin Danzon (the patron Saint of Pancholin.)

4. Connectivity is back. (Thank the Higher Powers!) I think I was close to a breakthrough about my Internet addiction, though. I was about to break through the walls of my service provider. I'm sure that would have proved very enlightening.

5. I worked on my WiP, on the development of my villains (assignments of a writing course) and I read four more chapters of the other novels from my TBR little pile. Okay, it was only 500 words on the WIP and some drinks and chat with a bad boy from my Evil League but I did read four whole chapters from my book pile.

6. Dwarves are celebrating their second minion job as Ninja Minions. They believe they're gonna get their own cloning machine. I don't want to tell them the truth yet. They are organizing a beauty pageant to choose who to clone.

What are you celebrating this week? Can you believe a week has elapsed already or do you have a problem with warp speed days, like I do? What word should I pick for D?

  1. Glad you've already started writing your Challenge posts. I haven't started, although I have my topic for each one selected.
No cloning machine for the Dwarves - sorry. After last year's fiasco with cloning Kate Beckinsale, I've been afraid to turn on the machine.

  2. Glad to see technical issues have been cleared up.

    I vote for Dwarfin Danzon

And I finally figured out my theme but now to get to work on it!

    Celebrating spring flowers, early!

  6. Hey Al,

Congrats on the awards - they are well deserved - and for D I would go with "Diet"

What does a Dragon diet on in the daytime? I have no darn idea :)

    1. Diet! Oh mine, that's such a great idea. I think you just gave me "F" for Feast. It's just that feasts sounds like having a lot of food, while diet sounds like having a lettuce and celery. Thanks for the idea!

    1. I'm the total opposite of organized but with the dwarves getting a second minion job, I better be ready for April or I might live some chaotic days. Dwarves don't know how to serve two masters. :)

  20. I tell you, some guests are just too absent minded to have over! But you know, what can you do. Although it's usually me who leaves stuff over, but NEVER do I take someone else's stuff... well, maybe a pen or a dish.

Congrats on connecting and your awards! Dude, make sure your head doesn't grow much bigger than the normal dragon's head size. :)

    1. Hahaha, impssible. I have an air relief valve implemented to trigger automatically if head size increases. :)

  21. I missed writing my Celebration post this week cause it just came too fast. I was sick half the week and then I got too tired to put up a blog Friday night.

It sounds like you had a very productive week. I vote for Dwarves for D. I always like learning more about the dwarves. Great job on the A-Z posts, I seriously need to get started on mine.

I made it through the first round of the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Awards this week, and got a request for a full from an agent I really want. So good week for me too! :)

  22. Good to hear you're getting a start on your A to Z posts. I need to get back to finishing mine.

And send me that clone machine when you're done. I could always use more help although I don't know if my wife could stand any more than one of me.

    1. Ah, that's so easy Arlee, just make a clone to help her with all house chores, take her shopping and pamper her and you'll see how happy she'll be. Too bad Alex won't hand it over as he got Wesley Snipes instead of Kate Beckinsale clones last time he used it, hahaha.
