Is this eloquent enough? There are things to do. I know I have to do them and the little voice of my conscience (a.k.a Tassin, dragon assistant and Dwarf Taskmaster) says it's Duty Time. It's there, waiting. Someone has to do it and that someone is me. Why? Because I appointed myself. I know that. I know the reasons but still the why rings in my head. Whether the question is why do I have to do it or why I don't care much about anything right now, I'm not sure. I feel for my poor Cheering Squad. Dwarves are courageous, brave and stubborn. They're not giving up because that would fit bad in their pride and resumes. I know they are not going to move me an inch, though. Not unless I make a willing effort. Why? Maybe tomorrow....

Your Fellowship cheering squad is just as stubborn! Don't just lie there - get up and show everyone you are a dragon.
ReplyDeleteHang in there dragon, and best wishes!
ReplyDeleteSome days I feel just like the dragon in your drawing. Why do I have to be The Doer? Some days I just want to scream "Mañana!" Good luck ~ I'm sure you'll get your fire back!
ReplyDeleteOnly you can move you. Just make a decision to move.
ReplyDeleteSometimes even a dragon needs someone to put fire under their butts. Or a sword. Or a pike...
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love your drawing. A perfect depiction of that 'too heavy, too much, dont wanna play' feeling.
And if even ground down you can create that - you can do more. Much more.
You could incite your dragon grandmother to come after you with all her thunder raging in order to kick you into it. If I were you I would be afraid, very afraid.
ReplyDeleteHang tough, Al. You can do it!
ReplyDeleteA dragon has wings as he is suppose to fly, he was meant to fly..now go flap those wings and fly to the strawberry moon...you are the fire and the flame..
ReplyDeleteWell Sir, this is a start :)
ReplyDeleteSometimes people need down time. It's not a bad idea to rest and relax for a while and think about what you truly want. When you find something that inspires you, then you'll move! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Al - seems like Father Dragon is in a spot of hang-dog bother and methinks he's capable of rising above the flat ground, stand on his own two feet and not be hauled off by the screeching Cheering Squad Dwarves, who are most apparently struggling dwarvefully ... take care and all the best .. cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteMaybe your Dwarf squad will help nudge you a bit. I hope you're inspired to move when you're ready. :)
ReplyDeleteDragon, get thee on thy feet! Remember your poor dwarves only have two while you have four. Heavy is only in your head. Think lightness, think love, think, if you don't get up soon, your cheering squad will have sore throats!!! We love you!!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess lighting little fires under the dragon would have no effect.
ReplyDeleteHope you get your motivation back.
I need to find my groove again, too. My motivation has been sorely lacking. I don't know if it helps to know I'm not alone in this, but it kinda does.
ReplyDeleteI can totally relate! There are so many things on my to-do list, but all I want to do is sit on the couch. I know breaks are good, but I'm in serious danger of entering a slump!
ReplyDeleteFather Dragon! Up with you before I kick you with my good leg! Oh. No. You. Don't. Nuh. Uh. I love you with all my heart and we are too much alike. You've snapped me out of 'IT' more than once; now it's my turn. Find that energy I know you have, and hop (fly?) to it! BTW, there's an award waiting for you: http://wp.me/p4xX1Z-dz
ReplyDeletePS - I love the sketch! Almost made me go "Awww", but I knew I had to be strong with you! >:(
My dear friend, you are the expert on your feelings. Contemplate, navigate, when you are ready. Ready to feel the momentum of the motivation that burns in your dragon heart and soul.
ReplyDeleteHugs and hope, your way,
Gary
Hugs to the dragon. Do what's best for you.
