Out of Service 'Till Further Notice
Dragon is very sorry for the absence. We have been experiencing serious hardware problems with the laptop for a while and despite the efforts of the dwarves and a valiant knight, there has been little improvement. We believe we might just be delaying the inevitable fulminating crash of the system. It must be something contagious because the iPad has started to act up too last week. In any case, we can't blog from the iPad, so this is equal to the Dragon Cave entrance collapsing since we won't have any access to the blog or way to post. For how long? Only Higher Powers know.
Dragon and Dwarves wish to express our heartfelt thanks to all of our kind friends for your faithful visits so far. We'll try to drop by your blogs when/if hardware available allows. Hopefully our absence will not be for long but, just in case, we leave you lots of gummy bears, a piece of cake from our second blog-anniversary on November 24th and the dwarves' wish list for Christmas.
Dwarves Wish List
1. Gummy Bears
2. Booze (High Quality, if possible)
3. The Arkenstone
4. Dragon Scale Polisher "Clean Master Dragon"
Be well, take care and until next time.
Dragon Hugs.

Ah, I've had those problems too in the past Sir. Not fun. Gummy bears and Booze I can profer; Thorin probably hid the Arkenstone in a devious place even a Wizard is likely to forget, and this old Hobbit doesn't polish - - anything - - nowadays.
ReplyDeleteBe well and take care all until next time :)
I am so sorry to hear this. And will wait with baited breath (or something like that) for your return. I like the dwarves wish list, but what would the dragon like?
ReplyDeleteHi Father Dragon Al ... methinks you need littlie baby dragons to help you out - but do so understand the techie side of life ... it is not easy. Congratulations on 2 years battling those fiery breaths ... and enjoy the Halloween era of 2014 .. take care, rest easy ... we're not going anywhere - one advantage of the net ... it sticks around ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteSanta needs to bring you a computer!
ReplyDeleteSorry I can't help long distance. Keep up with the emails and such, my friend.
Oh no. I hope you can get it fixed sooner rather than later. Blasted technology. I love it when it's running smoothly (and don't even realize how thankful I am for it) and hate it when it's acting up. Good luck!!
ReplyDeleteDear dragon, we will miss you, but still be here when your technical problems get sorted out. I think I am beginning to have problems with my laptop too, luckily I have a desktop as well which seems to be OK at the moment. Muchos abrazos, su abuela.
ReplyDeleteHope your hardware problems are fixed soon, Al. Take care! Hugs to you and all the dwarves.
ReplyDeleteI will be sending you a giant gift basket filled with all the things the dwarves love.
ReplyDeleteGummy bears and booze- now that's a party!
ReplyDeleteI know what will fix that buggy ipad... try throwing an anvil in its direction. Was anvil not on the Dwarves Wish List?
ReplyDeleteAll I want for Christmas is . . . the Arkenstone?
ReplyDeleteJust kidding.
I hope you are back soon!
Dear Father Dragon,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry to hear about your hardware issues, and hope they are resolved shortly wihtout recourse to gummi bears, except in the flavors you prefer. I will have to come by again, hopefully soon, to celebrate your return.
Diana Wilder
Hope you come back soon!
ReplyDelete*sending you case of alcohol and backup Arkenstone*

ReplyDeleteI've come back today to soak you with barrels of gummy bear cocktails.
ReplyDeleteI have come to soak you! *plink* Your great dragon size seems to not fit within the dunking tank... I'll just grab one of the dwarves then.
ReplyDeleteI'm here to 'soak-a-dragon-bloke' as instructed by the Realms Faire hostess.
ReplyDeleteSo regard yourself duly drenched in special Ubuntu-H2O!
I hope your laptop gets fixed soon. Computer problems are never fun.
ReplyDeleteI've been reading The Hobbit and thinking of you and your dwarves. :)
I'm just here to soak you with some love. How about I toss some bottles of some fruity wine for you to enjoy on your time away?
ReplyDeleteSoaking you with lots of love and best wishes with tech support. Maybe you can get a special with black Friday coming up. Sorry for your computer woes.
ReplyDeleteHe Al, I'm stopping over from Christine Raine's blog. Sending some high quality mead to your dwarves. Oh, and some crackers, lunch meat, and various cheeses too. Can't drink mead on an empty stomach.
ReplyDeleteOn behalf of my daughter (who happens to love dragons), I hereby soak you with the finest water dwarves can mine.
ReplyDeleteConsider yourself Dunked Al. Miss you.
ReplyDeleteJust checking in and missing the Dragon. I know how frustrating computer problems are. I go directly to panic and tantrums when I meet them. Hope you are conquering yours. xo
