Sessin looked at the camera held by Carmelita. "Hi, I am Sessin, son of Tassin, and Head Chef of the Dragon Cave. I also multi-task here. I am the most important member of the Cheering Squad-"
"You?" Tassin's furry eyebrows slid up.
"Let's face it, dad. Pancholin has two left feet. Milin is like a spinning top without direction and you don't even dance. I am the only one who doesn't look like a Fantasia Hippo in tutu."
Tassin shrugged. "If you say so," he motioned for him to continue.
"I am also the Master's favorite among his minions."
Carmelita glanced at Tassin but the old dwarf just waved his hand.
Sessin kept talking. "You must be wondering what's up with the welding mask I wear. It was the Ninja Muse's fault. She caused an accident in the kitchen that ruined my beard, but not my good looks. The Ninja Muse was banned from the kitchen but I wear the welding mask for good measure. That SAM is bad news and gets the strangest ideas into the Master's head, like that time with the Sleeping Beauty Opera Rock-"
"Okay, Sessin. That would do." Tassin called him.
Sessin was chuckling already but spoke faster. "And he was supposed to fly across the stage and land in the center, sporting a wand like some sort of dragon size singing godmother...hahaha... godfather...hahaha...but there were miscalculations about impulse versus stage length.. haha-"
"More than enough, thank you!" Tassin put his hand on Sessin's laughing face and motioned Carmelita to cut.
Chronicle Update: Fates allowed for The Lady of the Endless Stories to get in contact with the Dragon! Woohoo! My heart was so full of joy this weekend my cheeks hurt from so much grinning. Moments like these (and special people like you) are what makes life worth fighting for. :D
SUPERIOR BOOK RELEASE! - ELEMENTAL
THE BLURB:
Sophia's mother disappeared when she was six, leaving behind a broken father and sleep disturbed by silent terrors. Now twelve years later, the nightmares that plagued her youth have suddenly returned.
With dark creatures occupying her nights and a sense of restlessness consuming her days, all she wants is to finish school and get out of her small town as fast as possible. Everything changes when she is confronted with the realization that the shadowy beings from her dreams are real. The truth of this reality hits hard when someone she loves is killed. It would seem that anyone in their way is disposable.
A mysterious boy named Aiden enters her life bringing with him all sorts of complications. They're drawn to each other, but their connection brings Aiden right into the path of her half-demon nightmares. With her father and several new friends put in the cross-hairs, Sophia must decide whether to let the shadows take her or stand her ground and fight. As the school year steadily moves closer to an end her decision may come with the cost of her life or worse—the lives of those she cares about.

ReplyDeleteI love the Dragon's cave and all the inhabitants!
ReplyDeleteCongrats to Brandon!
I am a kindred spirit with the non-rhythmically inclined Pancholin. We can jerk and sway in untimed joy together.
ReplyDeleteThose Dwarves look like they can be a handful. I hope to see more of them as they keep Father Dragon on his taloned toes :)
ReplyDeleteI love the dwarves! They're my heroes. :-D
ReplyDelete"some miscalculations about impulse versus stage length".... hahaha. That Muse is a riot. She sure does keep things interesting in the Cave.

ReplyDeleteI know, I know, where's that awesome dog, Penny? Aha, here I am! :) Yes indeed a "Dwarf Cheering Squad." I like that. We have dwarves in our magical garden. Hang on, I'm mixed up. They are called the "wee folks." I know, what the 'elf' am I talking about!
ReplyDeleteVery generous of you to bring further awareness of Brandon's book and I will duly check him out.
Pawsitive wishes,
Penny the Jack Russell dog and modest internet superstar!
Hi, Penny. Wee folks? Aren't those gnomes? Maybe we could gather gangs sometime for a picnic. I think you would get along with Niobe, my shredder Chihuahua dog. She's rather nice with her own kind.
DeleteHa! I remember that accident in the kitchen! Cheers for Sessin!
ReplyDeleteAnd she still wonders why dragons sit on her... :)
DeleteCheers for Sessin!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd that's the second time I've seen Brandon's book today - Way to Go Brandon!
Brandon Ax is such a great author's name! :)
ReplyDeletelol, thank you. it was a fun name when I was a kid. Of course if I was a doctor people would hate it.
DeleteAl, if you've never seen the movie, this is the part I was talking about for Madagascar III and why I loved your music selection for the dwarves http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku7rPXoLRvI
ReplyDeleteThank you, Diane! I'm a big Madagascar fan. I even have my Skipper, hahahaha. I loved the song since I heard it there. I think it is lively and cheerful and the lyrics rocks! Besides it fits with my love for fireworks. :D
DeleteWant to make sure I have it right: Dancing, cheering chef dwarf. Is that correct? Well, he'd better get his credit!
ReplyDeleteYou got right, Nancy. Yes, it is important he gets his credit, at least for him. :)
DeleteCongrats to Brandon.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe A to Z is winding down. The month went fast with one more week to go. I've enjoyed your pieces.
