One candle, one warm thought

I was searching for the material of the Daily Dragon - Saturday Edition. I didn't find lots of bloghops or cover reveals or news of contests. Well, maybe I found them but there was one other thing that echoed in my mind and heart so loud and strong that they made any other news slip out of my head.

I do believe there is a time for everything. There's a time to write and time to read. Time to celebrate and time to meditate. Time to nurture and time to be nurtured. A time to be social and time to be alone.  A time to flow and a time to change. A time to invigorate and a time to calm. A time for me and a time for you.

Some blogger friends are going through their time of trouble and that claims in this dragon's heart for the time to pray.

Of some I have an idea of what their concerns are, of others I only know that they are suffering. As willing as I am to join the joyful ones, I am willing to stand by the side of those with sorrows. I am perfectly aware I can't do anything for them, except to light a candle and ask the Higher Powers to help that light and that warm reach them somehow. To make them feel they are not alone in their trials. I ask for them to see a light that guide them through the dark.

I've always said there is no pain-o-meter that allows us to measure if one's pain is worst than other's. Sorrow is sorrow and it's important for the person who is going through it. He who has walked through paths of darkness knows how daring night can be. Sometimes one would wish the whole world would light a candle for us.

The dragon cave will be illuminated by different kind of fires today. Not fireworks but candles, three for each dwarf, muse and dragon dwelling here in behalf of Jeremy, Murees, Yvonne, Nancy,  Linda, Jeff, DL Hammons's wife, Nick Wilford's step son Andrew McNaughton and for all those who are dealing with health problems,  or any other special concern or difficult moment. I might not have a complete list but I believe the Higher Powers (whatever the name you know them by) do, so I will let the Higher Powers tag your names on the candles. Or just let the good vibe find its way to you, if you so will.

Do you have a concern? Would you like to light a candle in the cave? Explanations are not needed. Just lift your hand or your thought. Speed of thought is just as fast.

  2. What a nice idea. I do know a few of my online friends are going through some rough moments. Even though I only know them through this blogging thing and emails, they are friends and remain in my thoughts. So I'll light a candle for them too. :)

  7. What a thoughtful post. Sometimes I'm not aware of my blog friends' sufferings unless I come across a post in which they've announced a problem. I'd like to light a candle for them.

  8. I would light a candle for several blogger friends who have mentioned illnesses or injuries this week. Or even just struggling in life. And light three extra for my blogger buddy Jeremy.

  13. Hey,

I light a candle for you, dear Al. So many times in my day I'm rushing or doing or double-talking while multi-tasking that I forget to take my needed chill pill.

Thanks for reminding us that it's OK to stop, take a moment, reflect, say a prayer and move on.

You sir, have earned my first bottle of 2013 Awesome Sauce.

  15. Wonderful post Father Dragon. Many people are going through difficult times right now, there are several on my mind too. I'm sure just knowing others are thinking of them and sending positive energy their way helps them lift their spirit. (:

  17. Just got word that my brother is in the hospital. Please light one more candle for me. He lives far away, so I won't be able to visit him or anything. However, my other brother is there, so he's not facing this unexpected health condition alone. He'll be there for a few days though. Thank God my sister-in-law is a nurse and insisted he go to her doctor today! Thanks,Al:)
