Sessin started to work on the clones of my special friends, the list went up to 30. Sessin and Milin were done with the cloning machine and made some clones to test it. Julie Flanders and Cherie Reich came out a bit too pink but in an excellent mood for dancing, so I thought it was okay.
Trusting everything would be alright, I left to check on the ninja clones. Since the Knight of the Dragon Order is unavailable, Captain Ninja offered this group for the show. They didn't have any idea of Disco dancing and somehow they ended up exchanging their shoes for a glass of Jezebel's punch.
When I came back, I found that Tassin had left. He Conga danced his way out of the cave with the girls.
Without the Taskmaster's supervision, Sessin didn't find any objection in sharing Jezebel's punch with Pancholin and Milin.
Drunk dwarves were not that bad if they wouldn't have tried to get Mark Koopman's clone at the moment. Sessin's miscalculations made the cloning machine blow up from overexposure to cloned Oirish Awesomeness.
The cave was full of smoke from the explosion and the fire extinguishers. Once the smoke cleared, all clones were gone, there was no machine, no more punch, and all that was left of the dragon cake was this.
Today is my 802nd Birthday. Things don't always come out as we plan them but I am glad to be alive, nonetheless. I consider each day a blessing and a gift, including the toughest days. I'm thankful for the good and the bad experiences. Good experiences give me hope, bad experiences make me stronger. I'm thankful for the laughter that lifts my spirits and for the tears that clean my soul. I celebrate all the victories in these eight centuries and also the defeats, for both have given me important lessons.
I might not be the best dragon ever, but I seek to be the best version of myself every single day. I think that's the only way to make years count and have a life worth living. ¡Feliz Cumpleaños y Viva Yo! :)
WARMING UP FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF DRAGON HUGS |
And a very happy birthday - and equally happy unBirthdays (all of them) to you.
ReplyDeleteI adore your wisdom, and your fortitude. And I hope that you got some of Jezebel's punch before the minions scoffed it.
Thank you for your words! I didn't get a drop of Jezebel's punch but I'm sure she wouldn't mind to send more. ;) Dragon hugs!
DeleteHope your Birthday was as amazing as you yourself are. That cake looks incredible. Send a piece my way.
ReplyDeleteAlready shipped, Brandon! Big enough for you to share with your own pet dragon. :)
DeleteHi Father Dragon - oh boy you have years of wisdom, fire and brimstone to offer us .. I too am sure the year ahead will breathe waves of light and love ... then that cake - we may be doldrumed for a while with slices of that -
ReplyDeleteHappy cake years and fire-breaths for the next 364 days ... Hilary
Hahaha, thank you, Hilary. More fire than wisdom but I think I can still entertain you. ;) Dragon hugs!
DeleteDearest Al,
ReplyDeleteThat was the coolest "It's my birthday - come on in and have a slice of cake" post I've ever seen, read or heard of :)
I am honored you added me to the "guest list" and I can't believe it... not only did you get the dance moves right, you nailed the hairstyle :)
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, old Friend, and may the strong fire in your heart never cede to embers :)
Feliz cumpleaños, papá del dragón, feliz cumpleaños :)
I'm glad you liked it, Mark. Your clone will still improve (we'll build a more resistant machine). :D Thanks for your words and friendship. Gracias, amiguito!
DeleteHappy Birthday! That is an amazing cake - but such an amazing dragon deserves nothing less. Sounds like quite the party. May there be many more to come :)
ReplyDeleteThank you,Tonya! I'm sure there will be and I hope you'll be there too. Dragon hugs!
DeleteHappy birthday, Al! That is one amazing cake.
ReplyDeleteSorry the Mark Clone blew up the cloning machine. The shiny spot on his head must've melted it.
We'll be back for the Un-Birthday.
And present's in the mail.
Hahahaha, yep, the shiny spot on his head. You got it. And yes, the Un-Birthday is the one. Thank you, my friend!!
DeleteWhat? It's not my fault I have a solar panel for a forehead!
DeleteOh, but your clone didn't! Don't worry, Sessin is the one to blame. Never use cloning machine when drunk. ;)
DeleteHappy Birthday Al, that cake was awesome. I would love a cake like that. Sorry about the cloning machine, hope you got some Jezebel punch.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely Happy Unbirthday too. I like Unbirthdays.
Thank you JO! Your card rocks. I loved it with the bears and loved it also with the idea of the dwarves, hahahahaha. Very sweet. Dragon hugs to you!
DeleteWow, Happy Birthday Al! You don't look a day over 801 :D
ReplyDeleteHope it's a good one and love those pictures!
Why, thank you, Mark! It's the dragon day cream. It does miracles with scales, hahahaha. It's already being a great birthday! Dragon hugs to you, my friend.
DeleteHappy birthday, Al. That was an awesome dragon cake!!! I hope it tasted as good as it looked!
ReplyDeleteWhile the cloning machine wasn't a complete success, you did get to party down with some of your friends before it went Kaboom. Thank you for sharing the details of your magical 802nd birthday with us.
I hope this really is the Year of the Dragon and the best year ever for you:):):)
Thank you, Robin. Well, I didn't get to try the cake but the feast was incredible, hahaha. I'm facing the hangover today, of course but it was all great. Yeah! This is the year of the dragon! :)
DeleteHappy Birthday my dear Dragon friend. Your cake looks awesome. I understand that issues do occur with those cloning machines but I look forward to hearing about future improvements. Take care and enjoy your celebrations.
ReplyDeleteYou are a very understanding lady, Suzanne. Thank you! The next one will come better, I just know it. Spare parts are on the way. :)
DeleteHappy birthday, Al! The best we can be is all any of us can hope for. But it's often beyond what we think we can achieve.
ReplyDeleteJezebel's punch is some powerful stuff.
Hahaha, I had to read it three times. It is true Diane, the point is convince us that we can do it. :) Thanks!

ReplyDeleteHappy Belated Birthday!
Awesome cake!
Oh dear! Jezebel's punch and cloning machines aren't a good mix. Bad things can happen. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I missed your birthday. I was in Las Vegas, tracking down one of Jezebel's lost relatives. *shiver* The dragon cake looks like it was fun and delicious!
Bolitas, my fiery friend!
Al! I don't know how I missed this post on your birthday itself but I'm so thrilled I got to dance with Cherie for your big day. Thanks so much for including me in your party!!
ReplyDeleteHugs to you!
I feel bad being late to the party, but...
ReplyDeleteHaPpY BiRThDaY!!! :D
Ooo, cake! I want a piece of the dragon's butt! Er-uh...I mean a dragon hug. :P
I know you will forgive me for my late arrival in regards to your birthday celebration. Of course, I did wish you a good one on um Farcebook.
ReplyDeleteYou will know I've been on a bit of an ironic tour of blogland. So, a belated birthday wish. A late comment, but a comment that begs for a cloning machine.
Gary :)
