Several times I've mentioned Mother Dragon's garden as a place where I go seeking for solace, inner peace and, in many ways, health. I thought on including it as the last site of the dragon tour since some of you have mentioned you would like to see a glimpse of this place.
There are lemon trees. Mother dragon makes a ritual dance after cutting one. She says that makes the trees happy and give us more.
I know this flower as Bird of Paradise. I'm not keen with flower names in Spanish, so don't ask me to look for them English.
A look of "the isle". It's a little circle that has so many different plants and flowers that resembles a jungle.
The "Nispero" gives a fruit that tastes like a peach married an orange. It's a very tall tree. Wonderful shade.
The bird condo. Just guessing by the singing every sunrise and sunset, it must house at least 50 birds and several nests. I've seen humming birds, robins, larks, a mocking bird and wild ones. Not to mention the dozens of butterflies.
Lots of pretty flowers.
This one goes all the way up the wall and around a couple palm trees. No idea what's its name but I like it a lot.
Our coffee tree. I don't drink coffee but Mother Dragon does. The most amazing thing is that we didn't plant it. It just appeared one day and voila! We had a coffee tree. Pretty much like the blackberry. One day we just realized we had one.
Below is my favorite rock "the frog". Yeah, I put the cobbles there as its eyes. Nephew loves it. We sit and play around the frog for hours, looking for egg shaped stones as those are the little one's most precious jewels.

A Mexico! I was wondering where all these wonderful plants could grow like that. Mother Dragon has an amazing garden. What a lucky Dragon you are :)

ReplyDeleteA 'Magical Yard' for sure, and now it's easy to see how Mother Dragon has influenced your 'Magical Mind'. The Lemon Tree Ritual Dance...that should be considered an essential part of every gardners harvesting of all that grows for our pleasure and palate.
ReplyDeleteThank-you for the tour of the garden. Now I know why the Monarch Butterfly migrates to Mexico every year in the fall. Who wouldn't love 'The Bird/Butterfly Condo'. In my garden I have a plant they love...Autum Joy. I live in their path of migration and Autum Joy provides them and me with an amazing experience of Monarch Magic as they swarm through Texas.

Lovely 'yard'. I love the idea of a happy dance. My parents had a lemon tree in their house in Spain, very useful for a gin and tonic, LOL. They had oranges as well and several other fruit trees. Sadly hubby and I don't have a garden any more, living in an apartment, but we do have a park outside our windows. I can see how you would love to relax in Mother Dragon's garden.

We had a lemon tree when we lived on southern California. I remember how wonderful the lemonade tasted, made with a fresh picked lemon. But I never did the dance and the tree bore lots of lemons. Maybe it was thanking me for NOT dancing. (Graceful is not my strong suit.)
