The Dragon's Birthday

Today I become 802 years old. I know I had told you of a big party with dwarf show and fireworks but  there were many complications. I had an awesome dragon cake.

Sessin started to work on the clones of my special friends, the list went up to 30. Sessin and Milin were done with the cloning machine and made some clones to test it. Julie Flanders and Cherie Reich came out a bit too pink but in an excellent mood for dancing, so I thought it was okay.

Sessin made some adjustments and a golden clone of Elizabeth Seckman came out. That was three, and twenty seven clones to go.
Trusting everything would be alright, I left to check on the ninja clones. Since the Knight of the Dragon Order is unavailable, Captain Ninja offered this group for the show. They didn't have any idea of Disco dancing and somehow they ended up exchanging their shoes for a glass of Jezebel's punch.

When I came back, I found that Tassin had left. He Conga danced his way out of the cave with the girls.

Without the Taskmaster's supervision, Sessin didn't find any objection in sharing Jezebel's punch with Pancholin and Milin.

Drunk dwarves were not that bad if they wouldn't have tried to get Mark Koopman's clone at the moment. Sessin's miscalculations made the cloning machine blow up from overexposure to cloned Oirish Awesomeness.

The cave was full of smoke from the explosion and the fire extinguishers. Once the smoke cleared, all clones were gone, there was no machine, no more punch, and all that was left of the dragon cake was this.

So the big party is postponed for another time. Probably a celebration of my No-Birthday. There are 364 days to celebrate dragon's No-Birthday. At least, I got to keep my Birthday dragon card and set my own fireworks. Dragon loves fireworks.

Today is my 802nd Birthday. Things don't always come out as we plan them but I am glad to be alive, nonetheless. I consider each day a blessing and a gift, including the toughest days. I'm thankful for the good and the bad experiences. Good experiences give me hope, bad experiences make me stronger. I'm thankful for the laughter that lifts my spirits and for the tears that clean my soul. I celebrate all the victories in these eight centuries and also the defeats, for both have given me important lessons.

I might not be the best dragon ever, but I seek to be the best version of myself every single day. I think that's the only way to make years count and have a life worth living.  ¡Feliz Cumpleaños y Viva Yo! :)
WARMING UP FOR ANOTHER YEAR OF DRAGON HUGS
Note: I promise when I get to put the Disco show together, the clones of ALL my friends will be there. You're all important to me but life happens and I couldn't pass from the early stage of sketching. But the big party is still happening. If you're patient with the dragon (and his chaotic dwarves), you'll see it.

  1. And a very happy birthday - and equally happy unBirthdays (all of them) to you.
I adore your wisdom, and your fortitude. And I hope that you got some of Jezebel's punch before the minions scoffed it.

  6. Happy birthday, Al! That is one amazing cake.
Sorry the Mark Clone blew up the cloning machine. The shiny spot on his head must've melted it.
We'll be back for the Un-Birthday.
    And present's in the mail.

    3. Oh, but your clone didn't! Don't worry, Sessin is the one to blame. Never use cloning machine when drunk. ;)

While the cloning machine wasn't a complete success, you did get to party down with some of your friends before it went Kaboom. Thank you for sharing the details of your magical 802nd birthday with us.

I hope this really is the Year of the Dragon and the best year ever for you:):):)

  24. I know you will forgive me for my late arrival in regards to your birthday celebration. Of course, I did wish you a good one on um Farcebook.

You will know I've been on a bit of an ironic tour of blogland. So, a belated birthday wish. A late comment, but a comment that begs for a cloning machine.

    Gary :)
