Chronicles of the Dragon Cave from A to Z: "F" is for Father Dragon

By now, my face is rather familiar to visitors and regulars (it's at the top of the side bar and in the About Father Dragon page, in case you haven't noticed) but no one has seen a whole body picture of me yet.
I worked like crazy on the sculpture of myself  because I had chosen to make my "cover reveal" today. Unfortunately, health problems put me way behind schedule and it is not finished yet. I was torn between delaying it or go ahead with the presentation as promised.
A decisive factor was that Father Dragon doesn't take his word lightly. I found a way to keep my promise and yet delay the reveal. I used a filter to blur a bit its unfinished condition but you can see enough to get the idea. So here I give you Father Dragon (me) before finishing details.

Sorry. Infamous shredder Chihuahua dog got in Tassin's way. Dwarves don't interrupt shredder Chihuahua during her daily sun bath for fear of loosing parts of their bodies. Mostly parts they hold in high esteem.

Now this is the one Father Dragon sculpture made by Father Dragon. And a glimpse of Mother Dragon's garden.

Am I not dashing?

One big directive with me is: art cannot be rushed. If I rush it, I ruin it. I was rushing it already and I could see it in the process, so I decided to stop, take a breather and continue more calmly. I will reschedule the reveal once it is properly finished and who knows? Probably by then, I can even get Father Dragon and his friends done.

    1. Well, the sculpture seems to be photogenic, Jo. Mother Dragon says he looks pretty fierce face to face but in the pictures it seems he's even smiling.

  15. I'm in awe of the splendid wings and colorful facial features. What an amazing dragon this is. Now my question is this: Does he have Asian roots or European ones? He seems unique among the dragons of my acquaintance, so just wondering about his genealogy. I wait impatiently, tapping my foot for the cover reveal.

    1. What a keen eye, milady. You're absolutely right and it was deliberate. Father Dragon is a unique dragon. I've seen my ways, my thoughts and sometimes even my methods proved I am one of a kind. There are characteristics visible from both East and West, just as my thinking. I call it universality. :D

    2. So wise to bring east and west together in such a beautiful manifestation of dragonhood.

  17. Father Dragon is 'Breath Taking'! His sunning protector is 'Frightfully Cute'! The creation of Fire Breath Takers takes time....I'm sure the Final Reveal will be well worth the wait...for all concerned.
